Hi everyone,
As you can see, we are now in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It took us 17 hours of travelling, and the hostel was shut when we arrived at 2am. So we ended up staying in another hostel for the night and went back about 11am. We wish we'd have stayed at the first one though lol! Our hot shower is so hot you cant get under it, so still taking cold showers :( Its not too bad though because it is really muggy here. There is no escape from the heat.
Yesterday, we went up the Menara Tower. Its about 450 metres tall and apparently resembles a pineapple - not too sure about that though! The views from the observation tower weren't too good because it was quite cloudy.
After that we visited the Petronas Towers (EXPECTO PATRONUM!) which are now the tallest twin towers in the world, standing at 88 stories and a combined height of 1018m! We didnt actually manage to make it UP the towers as there is a HUGE shopping centre at the base. We will try to go back if we have the time.
We are finding it slightly more expensive than Thailand because it is a more developed city, but we have just looked at hostel prices in Singapore and have decided to stay in Malaysia longer due to prices being over £5 a night!!
It's raining again. But at least it cools the air temperature down. Not much of a consolation as we get soaked walking about 2 metres. Starting to appreciate the small, short showers in England!
We haven't booked any more diving yet, much to Mike's dismay. However, being in a city nowhere near the sea, it's kinda hard to organise!
Take care (of the puppies!), me love you long time! Mike and Amy (kiss. no kiss)
