Nelson First Day We got to Nelson feeling a little better after sleeping for both the whole ferry and bus trip. Which is a good thing because we were due to meet a guy called Jan who had offered to put us up for a few nights. Wellington We found out that we could only stay in Wellington for 1 night because we couldn't get accomodation as the Rugby 7's was on. We all went to a Welsh bar for a a couple of drinks because of the two Welsh girls, then headed into town. It was really Hectic in town, the clubs were all packed, you could barly even get to the bar. We were aiming to only have a few drinks but ended up getting smashed, we got into bed at 3.30 and had to be up for half 6 to cat...

River Valley On the way to River Valley we stopped at Tongariro Falls which is an area that a lot of The Lord Of The Rings was filmed! The scenery was amazing, we did a 2 hour walk and could see Mt. Doom, Mt. Ruaphem, and some big waterfalls. We got to River Valley, it was a really nice hostel. Had a spa and volley ball court! However, the showers and toilets were like 'Im a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here'. One girl showered with a trantula on the curtain ...

Waitomo This was a stop off on the way to Taupo. We went to a place called Ruakuri Reserve which were glow worm caves! We went in one cave where we saw some prehistoc spider/cricket things! Apparently they were around in Dinosaur times! :) They weren't very nice. We went to a place called Agrodome which was an adventure park. Rotorua (Fong-a-pee-pero) - In Maori this means 'An evil smelling place!' On the way we went to the Karangahake Scenic Reserve where we went through a pitch black 1 km long railway tunnel! Bit scary. It used to be a gold mining place :) We got back on the bus and went to Mata Mata. This is the Hobbiton town for Lord of the Rings which Kla was excited about! :) We had lunch here. We then headed to Rotorua. Everywhere here has bubbling mud pools and steam coming...
