My second visit to St Vincent. The six of us took the shuttle bus into the town. We wandered past the market to a cafe where we had coffee and a pastel (egg custard tart). We made good use of the free Wi-Fi. After a quick visit to a museum, who’s name I forget, dedicated to a singer, who’s name I also forget(!), Linda & Rob went back to the ship, while the rest of us hit a supermercado for crisps, as I was undergoing cold turkey. Phil & Yvonne then went back to the ship while Barbara and I had a local beer in a bar. Where once again we availed ourselves of the free Wi-Fi. I was able to chat to Javon which was nice.
Back on board, we sat in the very hot sun. We watched the sail away, which, unusually for P&O, actually took place while we were sailing away.
We took part in the British Pub Quiz, but lost by 1 point. We decided we really couldn’t face another Syndicate Quiz with the Entertainment Team from hell. So the others went to bed while Barbara and I went for a walk along the Promenade Deck. As we passed the theatre, people were going in, so we thought ‘sod it, we’ll join them’. It was a singer called Paul Emmanuel, who was OK. Then we hit the casino for the first time.
