Fairly quiet day today. Rob and I went to Nigel Marvens’ talk on penguins. The pair of us plus Linda and Barbara then had lunch. Barbara and I sat on the Promenade Deck reading for the afternoon. I couldn’t be arsed to trek upstairs for quoits. In case you think I’m not getting any exercise, I do walk a mile after breakfast.
We went to see Beautiful Dream, a Take That tribute in the theatre after dinner. They were OK. We couldn’t face the ‘British Pub Night’ in Champions, so we sat in Anderson’s instead. Luke came and joined us. We then went upstairs for the Syndicate Quiz. We scored a lousy 11 points. None of us are particularly enjoying it on this cruise and I wonder how much longer we’ll keep playing.
Today, for the first time on this cruise I saw sea life. There were lots of flying fish about. I also discovered that the brown seaweed that is floating about is called Sargasso. That’s my fact for the day!
