Curaçao is not in the Netherlands, it's a country in its own right, but my blog app doesn't seem to realise this!
We arrived on time, but had trouble docking, so were about 15 minutes later getting off than planned.
The six of us plus Norman and Lynda hired a cab at $16 each return plus $8 entry to the hotel beach at Blaubaai, for a beach day. Rob and I bought a couple of buckets of beer to share with Barbara and later we had a panini for lunch. I spoke to Ash on the phone and tried Angie, but she was at the gym.
We got back to the ship around 14:40 and off again at 15:00! After a cup of coffee in Starbucks, where I FaceTimed Jan and failed to FaceTime Angie, we strolled into Willemstad over the Queen Emma bridge and after a (very) quick shopping expedition, we found a waterfront bar and had another beer. Willemstad has free wifi, so I managed to update all my apps on the iPad and all but one on the phone. On the way back to ship we saw a bar selling $5 blue Curaçao margaritas. So we had one each to go! With these in hand, we passed some friends in a bar with two HUGE glasses of Long Island Iced Tea.
We lost the pub quiz in the tie break and the Syndicate Quiz by one point.
A day of not doing very much, and loving it!

AlexandraMcKenzie I'm truly grateful for your expertise shared in this post. Your detailed breakdown illuminated aspects I hadn't considered before. I recently explored a similar theme on my blog illiciumlondon, and your insights would complement it beautifully. Looking forward to further enriching discussions!
