Amazingly, this is the end of week one. A quick explanation about my location(s). This app insists on my inputting both a town/city and country, which isn't particularly helpful when I'm at sea. Hence the somewhat ludicrous locations that will happen when I'm mid-Atlantic or mid-Pacific.
Captain told us at breakfast that it would be warm but grey all day. The sun shone! After my mile, I was sat on the Promenade Deck doing a crossword, when Rob sauntered by. We went for a coffee in Horizon and then decided to retire for a beer at the Pennant Bar.
After lunch, the men increased their lead in BoS. Managed to progress to second round of deck quoits, today. Lost badly in the Individual Quiz.
Everyone plus Scott came to my cabin for drinks. The intention was to drink the local Madeirian drink Poncha (rum, honey and lemon), but my gin was opened too and the wine took a hit as well. Rob, Linda, Barbara and I ate in Sindhu, the speciality Indian restaurant. It was worth every penny of the extra £15 and more. I think the chocolate sphere dessert was probably the best dessert I've ever eaten.
We won the pub quiz, so that's another bottle of wine for the next formal evening. Just a bottle of white needed now.
Clocks back an hour tonight. I love these 25 hour days, shame we'll have 23 hour days on the return.
