Cool start to the day, but it warmed up by mid afternoon. A frustrating day. I worked on my web page and as I was copying files I copied one I shouldn't, so I spent all the morning and part of the afternoon sorting stuff out. Sigh. That means that all the ports I'd written up over the sector had to be rewritten and the 99 photos also had to be re-entered.

I did take a break for lunch (dressed crab salad, yum) and BoS (women just shaded it). The Captain came on at midday to tell us that there had been an incident at the mouth of the Panama Canal and shipping would be delayed by at least six days and he was in contact with P&O HQ about it. He ended by wishing us Happy April Fool's Day. People went to reception to complain.

On our first night in San Francisco Phil and Yvonne went on a Ligurian (one of the P&O loyalty levels) meal at the Fairmont. Phil got drunk and now relations are a bit frosty between them. It's making life slightly difficult for the rest of us.

We won the pub quiz and so added bottle 42 to our cellar. We changed our last answer in the Syndicate Quiz and so fell into the tie break (5 way!), which we lost. Sometimes, we over-analyse.
