The ship has been making some strange juddering motions and noises. It's very noticeable when I'm in bed and the ship is travelling fast, but you can feel it at low speeds too.
We arrived on time, to a warm and sunny Wellington. We were told later, that the weather was slightly unusual. Barbara, Rob, Linda and I went into town on the free shuttle. We stilled along the harbour walk to the Te Papa museum. After some time in there, we had lunch in a local pub, overlooking the sea. We then ambled to the cable car station and took a ride up to the top. We took in the views and then had a short walk round the botanical gardens before taking the shuttle back to the ship.
Despite New Zealand not being one of my favourite countries, I've enjoyed my second visit here. Because the ship is travelling slower than intended, my Great Barrier Reef snorkelling excursion has been curtailed. It will be a couple of hours shorter. I'll be refunded 25 quid after it has been completed.
We gained another hour tonight, we're now GMT +12.
