Today we got up around 10:00 when I'd set my alarm for 8:00! You know us!
We had to walk all the way to the tour operators to book our bus for tonight and it took us 45 minutes walking in the scorching sun to find it! the bus was booked up for tonight so we booked for tomorrow instead, have to be there for 7:30! God help us!
Then today we spent relaxing by the beautiful beach!!!! We met Becca and Charlotte and went for breakfast with them at some café two blocks from our hotel... it was one that was recommended by lonely planet and it was amazing, I love the French influence in Vietnam, the croissants and Pain Du Chocolate from the many bakery's around are my favourite by far!!
We went to the private strip of beach in front of the Sailing Club, the restaurant/cafe/wine bar/club we went too last night! This place is also amazing! (the photo does it no justice whatsoever!!!) No exaggeration needed for a change! It's a modern, luxury restaurant that makes the BEST pasta and has good service! They have private sofa beds that you can hire out to eat around, a few bars that serve some bizarre cocktails, theres nothing this place doesn't have! The prices are England prices so to us travellers it's out of our league, but it's my birthWEEK ;) so we can treat ourselves!
Also, Becca and Charlotte are such a bad influence on us, they eat in nice restaurants all the time and check into 4* hotels, something me and Annie have never done, because our money has to last us a few more months! Not that we needed much persuading though ;)
We sunbathed for three hours and I fell asleep on the chair in the sun!! :o Happens every time!! It costs like £1 for a bed and they're private, spacious and have big fluffy pillows AND you get waited on AND there's security (the funniest guy named Tin) to watch our stuff when we're swimming in the sea! This place really is a luxury!!
Din, the guy from Phnom Penh, Cambodia was in Saigon with his family and were going their next, so we had arranged to meet him for his last night there. So If we didn't have to go meet him tomorrow, I could easily spend a week here, relaxing! Or be it a month! I'm in no rush!
In the sea, at the next resort along, there's an inflatable floating assault course! As tacky as it sounds it was actually hilarious! We thought we were on Takeshi's Castle or Total WipeOut! We tried swimming up-to it from our beach but you have to pay around £3 to go on, and get a wristband. There was no getting past the puny little lifeguard on a power trip, his whistle was blowing and he had a fog horn sounding and blue police lights flashing to get us off and pay! Totes awks when the whole beach looks up to see what all the commotions about!
Anyway we thought that the inflatables were just stupid kiddies toys, they had a trampoline and slides and see-saws just floating around we only thought we'd go for a laugh and we couldn't even muster up the strength to get on! They were so hard! So deep into the sea even I couldn't touch the bottom so we had to pull ourselves up out the water to climb up! Easier said than done! Charlotte tried launching herself onto the see-saw and slipped and flew straight over the other side! Hilarious! Annie tried hoisting herself up the tower and as a repeat of yesterday, gave the whole beach a show of underneath her bikini! Me and Becca attempted to climb up the slide and ended up loosing grip and plummeting back into the sea!
Note to self=laughing at other peoples struggle, no matter how satisfying there inconvenience may be, comes back round and drowns you in the ocean like karma :(
2nd lesson learned=saltwater tastes foul!
We gave up and moved on from that idea with our heads bowed down, as the only thing we could about fathom was the trampoline! Me and Becca attempting to do a swivel hips and double-seat-drop like I was still 9years old at trampolining lessons, did not end well!
Moving back to the beach....
We dried off and then went to have tea in the restaurant! I had Spicy Chorizo tagliatelle with sun blushed tomatoes... THE most amazing pasta I've had! I could've eaten it ten times over if I wasn't already full up from the huge portions they give! We ended up sitting there a couple hours too, over the sunset and drank 3 lattes... The latte is actually creamy, not cheap disgusting froth! And then we might have all had chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream too but... Shh ;) The weather went from being scorching hot all day to a nice warm breeze over dusk... We all agree we don't ever want to leave this life of luxury!
Anyway enough of that, I don't want to make you all jel of my life, oh wait... You're already sick with jealousy right now!!!!! Muhaha!!!! Muhaha!!! Muhahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
...(*evil laugh continues until out of breathe, Exasperated on the floor*)...
After dinner we went back to our hotel (greeted by another cockroach crawling up the front door) to chill and get ready for tonight, when we will return back to... Sailing Club! :D
... went out that night and got wrecked!!! Paid to get into Sailing Club but you get a free jamjar!!! Absolutely loads of vodka with orange full to the top! This place just gets even more perfect! Only took Becca two of these before she was dancing on the dance floor with the Asians, knocking drinks over, smashing them on the floor, spilling drinks all down my T-Shirt (thanx Bex ;)) and causing general havoc! The three of us stepped back, stone cold sober and watched in total utter disgust!
Totes jokes! We were more like the ring leaders! We met loads of random people and partied away with everyone in the open air club! Everyone talks to each other and dances like crazy! After 2:00am when the club closed we then ended up getting on some randomers mopeds with other fellow travellers and got free rides to the next club ;) 'why not! Bar' I like there motto!! :D
We partied until 6am! Someone pass me a blanket and I will sleep on the street... I'm so tired!! And we have to be up in one hour to get a 12 hour bus to NaTrang!!! Do you think we made it? My next blog will tell... ;)
