Um - I thought it was just called "The Tower of London" full of history if you have time to read it all.

Quite striking, isn't it? No mum, there are a few towers within the Tower of London. A quick look in "Lonely Planet" tells me this was the first building, begun in 1078 when William the Conqueror laid the first stone, to replace the earth and timber castle he'd already built there. Like you said, full of history.
