The start of a new beginning ...

Hi all: we are back in the civilized world where uploading pictures is actually feasible without having to ask the internet cafe owner whether it is possible to stay the night behind the computer.

We are now in Bangkok, where we just spent a few days and tonight we are catching our plane to Aussie (Melbourne) where we will attempt not to melt or catch fire ... and we thought Bangkok and Phnom Penh were steaming hot.

Well anyway we will start to dripfeed you with pictures that have been overdue from Laos, Cambodia and our second stint in Thailand. Last time we updated the blog properly was about a month ago and we have been visiting 3 different countries since ....

It is a bit sad that our visit to South East Asia is coming to an end as we truely enjoyed it here for various reasons:

• food (of course);
• tuk tuk - the annoying tuk tuk drivers continuously hassling you with the question whether you need a tuk tuk or 'where you gooo?';
• Beerlao - the best value for money on the intake front: what a shame that they don't export that stuff anywhere.

So going to Aussie, the Pacific (Fiji) and New Zealand is truely a new beginning in our world travel itinerary. South East Asia was definitely a success and worth returning to one day to also visit Burma and Vietnam.

Fosters beer, here we come ...
