Back to Basics Trekking life - So for the two of us some of the experiences were the same but I think that we both came away with different goals, achievements and of course memories.
Rosemarie - This Trek for me was definitely one of the hardest challenges that I have faced in my life to date. I chose to make it more difficult by carrying my own pack but because of my die hard nature I just had to do it. It was also a must for me to reach ABC as failure was not an option. If you look at the pictures they will only tell a part of the story, being there was the ultimate. Thank you to Micha, Narayan, Louise, John, Diane, Trevor and Dil for making my birthday extra special on top of the mountain.
Micha - trekking in the Himalaya is slightly different from a few hours in the rainforest in some exotic Carabean island. It proved to me that I should do a little more to increase my fitness, that pain is a relative notion and determination will prevail over physical complaints. I'm glad I've done it and all the inconveniences have been washed away easily by the spectecular sceneries and views and the satisfaction on doing something like this is not for the faint harted. Very proud I am now trying to recover from my knee injury and trust me: going up seems harder work, but is so much more painless than going down.
