Day 7

Last day in Florenze - making our way to Venice. This morning we had a bit of a sleep in and had breakfast at 9.15am. We then spent a couple of hours touring the city of Florence, bought some souvenirs, had lunch and boarded a coach headed for Venice. Did you know that Venice was built between 3 land islands using wood to establish the foundation of this beautiful city. After 3.5 hours on the bus we finally arrived to Venice where we then had to catch a monorail/ train for 2 stops to get to our hotel. We had dinner at a restaurant and then boarded a ferry to view the city of Venice under lights - what a view. No wonder it is known for being the romantic island of Italy. The ferry ride back to the hotel was an experience. We needed to have planned this better, as it took approx. 2 hours to return, with fourteen stops later, jammed packed like sardines, returning to the hotel at 12 am.

Tomorrow we will be touring the city of Venice, going on a gondola ride and then catching a train to Austria at approx 8 pm. I hope we are making you jealous - add this place to your bucket list.
