A wet and wild weekend on the Whitsundays! The Avatar was a big ole boat; lots of space for soaking up sunshine and sea air and torrential rain. Despite some unfortunate weather, we still had lots of fun on the boat and the sun did come out a few times! It was a little rough on the first day...I had to find my sea legs quickly! One crazy Oz Experience organised stop at a Cattle Station a little way away from the East Coast and into the Outback.Learnt to fire a shotgun in all the wrong directions. What an awesome weekend! Crashed around on Fraser Island in a 4WD full of other travellers for three full days. There were 8 of us altogether; Matt came up from Surfer's to meet us again and we were put in a vehicle with 3 French guys named Mohammed, Remy and Laurent, a Manchester lass called Michelle and another English guy called Matt. Have enjoyed a lovely few days in Noosa. Despite enduring our first day of completely torrential rain on Monday and, therefore, finding ourselves unexpectedly confined to the inside of a youth hostel, at least it was one of the most beautiful hostels we have stayed in so far. Halse Lodge was all timber and oak and situated at the top of a hill with views out towards the sea. There was a real chill out vibe there. Luckily, the sun decided to reappear for our all...
