Phuket - Family Holiday Week 2
12th March - 17th March
The second week of the holiday we had a really good time, Kata Noi was a bit of a dissapointment as the snorkelling was not as good as expected at it also seemed a fairly rich area which meant it lacked in character! It was however very relaxing!
On the Tuesday (13th) we went on our Sea Canoe trip to James Bond Island! This was a brilliant day, the boat that transported us to the places we could canoe was slower than the Phi Phi speed boat which meant you could actually have a conversation and take in the scenery, and the actual canoeing was brilliant! We went into caves and near monkeys, it was very relaxing and think my favourite day of the holiday so far!
On Wednesday (14th) we went to a Butterfly Sanctuary in the morning where there were some scary arse spiders and spent the afternoon shopping !! Not much to report about that!
On the Thursday (15th) we spent the day on Patong Beah chilling out and then got ourselves a bit more dressed up than usual to go into Surin for a nice meal! We have been eating at pretty much the same place every night which serves amazing Thai food for next too nothing so we thought we would treat ourselves and had a three course italian meal plus cocktails! YUM!
Friday was our last actual day as tomorrow Mum, Michelle and Claire fly home so we decdided to spend our last day at our favourite Beach - Surin! We got Thai massages caught some final rays and spent much of the afternoon in the sea as there were some brilliant waves! This knackered us out so much me and fatty could not even manage a final game of beach frisbee!! LET DOWN!
On Saturday we had an early start, we said our goodbyes to Patong after some last minute shopping and all flew to Bangkok together! Where we went our separate ways, Mum, Michelle and Claire got straight on a flight to Heathrow and I got a taxi into Bangkok to collect some stuff I had left in storage and do some more shopping! My bag went from weighing 9KG on the first flight to 17KG !!! I brought alot of crap!!
After a sweaty afternoon in Bangkok I packed my back pack in the lobbey of the hotel where my stuff was stored and got a taxi back to the airport around 7pm, despite my flight not being til midnight! But I was bored! I had planned to be the first person to check in and attempt for an upgrade but due to me being a total spacker I ended up standing at the wrong gate for most of the evening and when I did get to the right one there were no more upgrades avaliable !! DARN IT!!
Thankfully there was no delays and that was it I was on my last plane flight of my trip a 13 hour journey back to the UK!
