It has been 4 hot, busy days here in Melbourne, with Big Day Out on the first day
followed by 2 days of Tennis and one of chilling. Actually this was the plan, but little did we know that the weather was going to go all extreme on us, so for the last 3 days the temperature has been soaring to a blistering 44.5°!!!
I can't really say much about Melbourne though, the city seems to be a mix between San Diego, Palo Alto and (sorry..) Pasadena. There are some lovely art deco and colonial building here and there but in general the city is really quite modern, St Kilda, where we are staying, is a bit like a local Venice Beach making it a good people watching spot in the evening.
We are also learning the language and lingo bit by bit, I have learned to ask for a long black and not a tall americano, that Parma is not the ham but a chicken concoction of some sort, that the Melbourne has a lot of paaks and you can easily move around the city with either a traam or a texi...maaate.

Next Stop: Sydney
