Thursday 1/21 was the first day I ventured out on my own, met up with Joony at Myungdong to eat lunch (Andong Jjim Dalhk) ooh i missed that stuff! We didn't have much plans, just went from place to place in circles around the tangle web of the area, and it was mad cold! After lunch went to O'sullock to get green tea lattes and dessert. We were labeled as foreigners, I saw it on the reciept. When the cash register person ask Joon if he wanted the reiceipt, he said "pilyoh upSUH!" and she corrected him under her breath, "piyoh upsuhYO". hahah i died laughing. We really didn't have anything to do, so we went to a bookstore to try to find some sort of Seoul Lonely Planet - FAIL. all the books are shrinkwrapped. Ridiculous since i know that its my favorite pasttime to go to Barnes and read magazines and books while sipping on a latte. I used to even use all their SAT and AP study books!
We bought tickets to see Sherlock Holmes but still had some time before so I decided to get a haircut at Juno for around 20 bucks. I tried to convince Joon to get one too but he refused to go anywhere to someone he didn't trust. The movie was predictable. Apparently he never goes with anyone to get a haircut and that I should feel special.
Also, uncle from Kimpo was over our house when I got home. I got a lil lost at the bus station so I had to cab it from Seoul station. He brought me sweet potato cake and asked me how much money I made. I hate that question. Enough to live a full and comfortable life. Isn't that enough? I don't ask them how much they make.
Friday I went out to meet Heejeong unnie at Shinsadong. It's a pretty lil place with alotta expensive stores and cafes, and restaurant. we had coffee at this chocolate bruni place and talked for awhile. Afterwards met up with Joonie again for dinner and drinks. Got home around midnight, and mom was upset because it was too late.
