As most of you know, there are three main things I want on thsi trip. Pastries, bread, and boat tours. Haven't attached the pastries and bread yet, but I did get my tour on the River Siene. And yes, I was snappin' away (they shoudl have never come up with digital cameras).
It was a little on the chilly side, but was pretty nice. Got some nice shots of the buildings and architecture along the banks. Of course, the Tour de Eiffel and Notre Dame Cathedral were the highlights. Some of the photos are better than others, but I'm still learning the camera, so get off my time already! Loading the lot of them to Photobucket and will post link once they are up, so you can judge for yourself.
We had dinner later on Isle St. Louis and found a spot with outside dining that was economical by comparison to the rest of the restaurants (we ate for 28 euro - or around $40 - plus tip). But we both damn near fell asleep in our dinner with jet lag finally catching with us. Nothing some frozen yogurt on waffle cones couldn't solve.
Tomorrow, the Monoprix will get a visit, because we sho' won't be spending $40/meal every time.
