Right, where were we up to? Oh yes, LA...

We had a lovely afternoon with Matt & Cassey and Charlie & Nicole. They took us to a great place for lunch called "Home" and Cassey was good enough to let us use her flat to book our Fiji accommadation. Thanks again!! Charlie also gave us a great recommendation for a veggie indian place which turned out to be across the street from our motel. To be fair we wouldn't ordinarily have gone in. It had metal grills across the doors and windows and you needed to ring the bell to get in! But once inside it was lovely and the staff very friendly

We then left for Hawaii arriving early evening on Monday 6th October. We arrived in our hotel to be told we'd been upgraded twice as it was our honeymoon! The room was lovely with a four poster bamboo bed in it!

We had a lovely time in hawaii, Waikiki beach is great - full of surfers! - but we were glad that we'd been prepared for the fact that it was very built up. Lots of high rise on the beachfront. We had a day snorkelling at Hanauma bay, went up to the top of the volcanic crater rim and of course Pearl Harbour. Definitly a place to stop over on a long haul trip but not necessarily a place to travel to from the UK for a holiday.
