Arrived in Melbourne at 09.00 this morning, hired a car and drove to Geelong, about 40 mins out of Melbourne. We are all citied out! We are stopping in a hotel, thought we would have some luxury for the last week. Its called the Sphinx and is shaped the same, very bizzare, but lovely. Hired a care today to go to Blue mountains, very disappointing, as weather drizzley and very cloudy, so we could see nothing. We turned around and came back, no good if we can't see the views. We drove around Watsons bay, Byrons bay and Cougee bay instead and then went to the Sydney Acqarium, which was fantastic, kids really enjoyed that. Arrived at Sydney on 31/10/06.  Stopping on Pitt street. Very much like London. Went to Manley beach today, 1/11/06 great beach, watched the surfers, very brave in shark waters.Kids enjoying the cheap shopping.  Much cheaper in Sydney, Brisbane very expensive.  Youth Hostel good.   Cruised around Sydney harbour today, what an amazing view. Going to Blue mountains on Saturday.
