Day 32 - Home We left Longreach at 7:30 after calling into the Bakery for breakfast and began the long trek home. We stoppped at Charleville for lunch in the park and then continued on for the rest of the day. The landscape became incredibly dry and barren and it became quite sad to see the state of some of the farm land. Day 31 - Longreach Its time to head home. We packed up and it the road around 8:30. A quick morning tea stop at Bourke and Wills Roadhouse and then lunch at Julia Creek. We travelled on and after a few tense kilometres with the petrol gauge reading 0km to empty we rolled into Longreach at around 7:15. Day 30 - Karumba Nick left early this morning on a fishing charter and returned around lunch time with about 6 good size Mackerel. The rest of us spent the morning playing cards and walking up to the local market to have a look at the stalls. It was a quiet afternoon with another game of cards and a swim before heading to the pub for a frothy and back for tea.

Day 29 - Karumba We had a sleep in today and then went for a drive and a look around town. Picked up some fish and prawns for tea as well as the groceries. After lunch we went fishing off the rocks, and it didn't take long before the fish started to bite - between us we pulled in around 25 fish (Kade caught 11!) and we were able to keep 3 silver javelins for tea. Day 28 - Karumba Finally, we are on our way. 3 stops along the way today - morning tea at Georgetown and then lunch at Croydon. Finally a quick beer stop at "The Purple Pub in Normanton. We set up at Karumba Point and then headed around the corner to the "Sunset Tavern" for a frothy and to watch the sunset over the beach (long with everyone else! It was quite amusing to see everyone walk out to the front of the pub for the 5 minutes it took for the sun to set...
