My flight from Sri Lanka was an early one but Dad had booked me onto a Business class flight back from Colombo which was perfect, a few glasses of champagne and a decent meal later I arrived back in Doha, a destination I had been to over 15 times but always nice to visit!
The 3 days in Qatar was very relaxing, a beach day and a day by the pool before having a leaving meal with my Mum and Dad and a group of Indians that helped me with my aircraft license and there wife's.
Dad took us all to our favorite restaurant in Qatar, the Chingari an Indian restaurant in the Radisson Blue hotel, it was a strange choice really as I was about to spend a month traveling across India, but it was still a great night.
I went direct to the airport after the meal to catch my midnight flight to Deli.
The only problem was that the entire plane was overbooked and I had a staff ticket... Start panicking! Luckily Nitya and Armadeep who work for Qatar managed to get me the jump seat at the back of the plane! It wasn't so bad, the hostesses where incredible friendly and we had a good joke. But I had no sleep at all for 24 hours… But I made it to India and the next adventure!
