This morning we checked out of the hotel in Phnom Penh and caught the bus to Saigon. The trip is into its last few days. Border control was easier to get through as we still had valid visas for Vietnam. It was fun listening to the officers trying to pronounce our names. Then two hours to Saigon and dinner at the Tiger Grill.

This morning I went to see the school that Chan's son goes to. Children do classes in the morning in Khmer and classes in the afternoon in English. This afternoon I swam in the hotel pool whilst Dad went to the infamous S-21 prison, which is now the Genocide Museum. Then later we visited Wat Phnom.

This morning Dad went to see the 'killing fields' museum, which is a reminder of the Pol Pot regime in the 1970's and 1980's. After lunch we toured the Royal Palace and National Museum. Finally we went out with our tuk-tuk driver and his family for a local dinner.

Today we caught a minivan to Phnom Penh. We were met in Phnom Penh by Chan who is a tuk-tuk driver and family friend. My aunt and uncle pay for his oldest son's education, because school is considered a privilege in Cambodia and not a right like it is in Australia. We hope to visit the school on Wednesday.

Today was a chance to visit the temples of Angkor Wat, which are listed as World Heritage sites. They are enormous and cover vast parts of the jungle.
