I've spent the last few days trying to make as much of a difference as possible. I feel the best way i could contribute at this time was to complete painting of the school. So, along with some other volunteers we have spent a few mornings and afternoons doing that. I quite enjoy painiting however finding paintbrushes were the mammoth task. I won't be visiting the hospital again so I thought i'd blog about some of the units all in one place. Psychiatry - Psychiatry was interesting. The nurses showed us the unit which is very small. They have a treatment room, place for folders and consultations which are outside. It all seems pretty organised. We got to look at the documents they also use. I've been cleaning the wounds for 2 and a half weeks at the village now but i've decided the wounds I just cleaned will be the last. There are a few reasons for this. I hate that we are going there, cleaning there wounds and leaving again. No care should be like this and I feel embarressed that this is how it is. This weeks tour was the monkey sancutary, climbing a mountain and going to a waterfall. I was pretty excited but I was not appreciating the prospect of climbing a mountain.
