Hello ! Well, this is the first installment of many ! We arrived about 2 days ago, and it was a wicked flight, great views of the rockies as we flew over. We\'re staying in a hostel which has the biggest, comfiest beds ever, so glad we went with HI Central Vancouver. Had a couple of days to get over the jet lag (I was in Starbucks at 7am on the first morning having coffee !). We\'ve met loads of really friendly people which makes the whole thing a lot easier. A few of them have gone up to Whistler already, which is where we are headed tomorrow morning at 5.30 am !!!! We went for a nice walk today to Stanley park, there\'s was a briliant view of the whole of Vancouver from one point, photos of which will be up on the site soon. We walked round a bit of the park and saw some black squirrels which was a bit odd, they kind of look like little bears with tails :-) We\'re moving on to a different hostel tonight in a bit of a dodgy area,cos it\'s close to the bus station for the morning, but it will be enlightening if nothing else. Food here is pretty cheap, but I can\'t get used to the tipping and tax thing, its too weird. I just wish they would tell me straight out how much things cost. The beer is really sweet, but we found a bar last night that sold Stella, which was very much needed. Anyway, rambling now, so gonna get off....til next time xxx
