We have finally left the comfort of Brisbane - and we're now inland - in Outback Australia. We passed very quickly through Toowoomba - and questioned why we had decided to do the leg from Bris to Cairns this way. But - we decided to carry on and hoped that things would get better. An 9 hr coach journey and we arrived in Charleville last night - scenery was pretty amazing on the way - saw lots and lots of raod kill mind you. Poor little wallabies. We did see a few live ones as well though. Charleville - population 3500 is pretty small. We're going to see some tourist sights later - there's an animal sanctuary and a Cosmos Centre, which all sound like good fun. Next stop is Longreach - home of Quantas and some sort of outback centre for legendary bushman ...!! We hey!~there's only one bus out of town. So - we'll be getting that one at 4am tomorrow. We love it!
