Max & Dean Year Out 05/06
Hello all
As I'm writing this - I am breathing a sigh of relief. It has finally stopped raining...it's been non stop for days now and nerves have started to fray. Rotorua was good - stayed at a holiday park on the river and I got a new tattoo. OUCH! I forgot just how much they hurt. As I was getting ready to go under the needle - the lady told me that if I felt hot or started to feel funny at all - it was just my body starting to shut down and I should say something as I was probably about to faint. Just after she told me that - I started to feel giddy and the tattooist hadn'teven started. Suffice to say - it hurt loads but I just about managed not to cry or act like a complete baby.
Yesterday saw Te Puia (geysers) did a mamouth drive from Rotorua - to Mount Rahepo (Mount Doom to the LOTR fans) - but we were unable to try the 17k walk up and down mountains and past lakes as it's snowing and people are failing to come back and it's raining giant cats and dogs. Tonight staying just outside Wellington - getting ready for our no doubt choppy crossing to the South Island. Am hoping that it doesn't rain for the next 3 weeks.....have to wait and see...later peeps. Come on Enger-land!
