Hoping this works! We are now on the Isle of Mull having been to Glasgow for 2 nights then 1 night near Oban on west coast of Scotland. Both places we stayed were very good. Yesterday we caught the ferry from Oban to Craignure then drove down to Iona (about an hour of windy single lane roads). We stayed on the island for about 3 hours, had some reflective time there and looked through the abbey. The weather has been terrible - cold and very wet (almost considered buying some wellies). Average temperature about 13-15 deg. Our best purchase so far has been our 5 pound umbrella!
We then travelled north to Tobermory - more of the same roads - arriving here yesterday afternoon. B&B is very nice and homely, the owners have 2 bearded collies - big hairy things but gorgeous - and their house is filled with lots of memorabilia, photos etc. We went for a very scenic drive to north west of the island (Calgary) beautiful scenic views of the Isle of ulna and the isle of morven. Weather slightly better than yesterday still rain but more scattered showers and even a few minutes of SUNSHINE!!
