Woke up today at about 7.30, had a chat and said my goodbyes to Benny and Banga before they left for work (haha suckerssss).
Feeling a little nervous and anxious to get going at this stage, however the flight to KL doesn't take off until 2.30, so I got a few hours to kill. Had some breaky and tied up a few loose ends I needed to get done before leaving. Went down to woolies for some last minute toiletry item shopping and then went past dads where I had all my luggage. Jammed all the last few things into the backpack, now weighing in at a nice 16 kilos.
Left for the airport at about 1with dad and Aunty Mary, and checked in the backpack. Said the goodbyes and went through customs without out any troubles. Had a look in the duty free shop for a new camera but didn't see anything I liked. Bought some new headphones and then went to claim the tax back on the backpack.
Lady: 'where is it?'
Me: 'it's checked in'
'well how am I supposed to sight it if it's checked in?'
no s***... 'how am I suppose to let you see it if you are after the baggage drop?'
'ohhhhh we have a sighting booth before the baggage drop'
'ohhhhh now you tell me' thanks for nothing lady.
Flight to KL went without a hitch, food was good, movie selection, not so good. Got off the plane, first thing to do was to locate the gate for my next flight to amsterdam that leaves in 4 hours. A short train ride later, found it. Had a bit of a walk around and bought a new camera duty free.
Now just chilling at gate C36 waiting for the redeye to Amsterdam which departs at midnight.
