Hey guys sorry for the delay!!! Yes were alive lol!
Anywhoo
day 1 contiki: London-Dover-Paris
We hot up extra early today pulled the room apart to triple check nothing is left behind all okay!
As we walk outside it's pouring rain we make a quick run down the block trying not to get too wet and as we get there the rain stop (so typical) we got our bags weighted and passports checked and got on the bus. The bus is very nice and roomy but seats are hard as a rock.
Anywhoo when we arrive at the ferry it's the worst weather you could ever think of 80-90km winds roughest water ever and 3 other ferry companies have pulled out but good old P&O HELD STRONG AND DECIDED TO TAKE ON THE ROUGH SEA AND STRONG WIND BUT DELAYED THE DEPARTURE BY 3 hrs after 4.5hrs we finally made it to France.
We arrived at our hotel in port d' ivry this hotel is much better than the one in london just smaller and a broken shower head lol.
We then put our bags away and had dinner after that we then hopped back on the bus for a quick tour of Paris before the drivers curfew was up. We got to see all different sights like statues buildings etc the last thing to see was the Eiffle tower. as we were booked to go both of us decided to run to make it on time from where we were standing hmmm maybe a good 200m run at max so we started to run but after about 5 mins of running and Amy dying lol we finally got there 5 min late but we were allowed to go up still what an unbelievable view so magical from that point Sydney was 16,960km away.
We then tried to figure out the metro system but that's another story lol
Day 2:
We left to go into Paris by our bus and where do we pull up just a few doors down from Amys favorite pastry chefs shop Pierre Hermes. For some reason not explained in english it was shut till 11am so we walked to the louvre got told about a back entrance and got in super quick and easy :) as we had alot to do in just one day we grabbed a map and rushed but looked through the museum in the direction of the Mona Lisa. It's amazing how small the painting is and how much of a crowed it brings when the one opposite is mammoth in size compared to it.
After that went back to Pierre Hermes for some macarons got one of each which was 12 and then decided to walk to champs de élysées which is one of Paris busiest streets. On the way there we found the same shop we had macarons at in London and decided to get our favorite one the caramel jumbo size can you imagine 3 macarons squished to make one nmh beautiful we then continued on to champ de élysées and found a Disney store Amy found her pooh she's been looking for and something for romey!
After that Amy got a free session on how to apply make up as I strolled through the shop and noticed France shops have very gay clothing lol
We then headed off to notre dame when we arrive it was unreal it was so big and beautiful I would go to see it again!
After that we headed home to get ready for our night at moulin rouge.
we left here with an hour to get there but all would turn upside down on the way there due to how they put signs up and how the trains work as we would miss trains trying to work out is that the train we gotta catch!!! Oh well only 20 mins late and it hadn't starred yet
It was really good would go see that again for sure
Anywhoo were off the Switzerland tomorrow to stay in a prison over night sounds fun Anywhoo talk to you soon
Love and miss you all
