Waking up in Kuala Lumpar we head over to the Petronas Towers and get our free tickets to go up to the sky bridge which is on the 41st floor, about 170 meters high I think. We have time to get giant pretzels for breakfast, mmmmmmm! We watch a freaky 3D show before we go up, mostly about the oil company it's self and then a bit about the building. As part of a group we get into the lift that is unbelievably quick and we're at the bridge in about 25 seconds. The view is is brilliant, we walk the full length of the bridge and are the last people to be ushered off the bridge. There is small exhibition down stairs that we wondered through, then outside we took some more pitcures. The building is pretty incredible and we just stand for a bit looking up at it before we go back to china town. We gather some things and then decide to go to the Batu Caves, we get the busy bus there and the first thing you see is a giant golden statue and the 279 steps leading up to the top. We start the climb and once at the top we walk into the giant caves. They're very big but the floor is covered in concrete and there is a bit of funny smell. We look around and see some monkeys and some ófferings'fighting i.e. A few cockrels fighting which is pretty cool to watch. Once back down we wait for the bus, which feels like it's never going to come and you feel a little uncomfortable as people are staring a little?! We get back fine in the end, we grab a little bit to eat and have a beer.
We are due to depart for singapore today so don't venture to far. We go to the central market, we shop, eat, drink, write some postcards and in the diary. It's really nice to relax in one area and the market has some really nice stalls and food. We walk around and find a really cool fish bath therapy place, they basically have a pool/tank full of fish that you dip your bare feet into and the fish feed of the dead skin etc. It's really tickle's your feet and we're both laughing like little girls! The woman assure's us they don't bite and that they're like little kisses. The fish swarm around your feet and in between your toes, it hilarious! In the evening we have some fresh fruit at 20p a piece then head to the train station for the over night train.
The train ride is fine and we sleep okay, we also have no trouble at the boarder this time and makesure we take all of our stuff with us! We arrive in the early morning and go straight to the hostel. We treat our selves to an air conditioned room and have a little nap. Singapore is really clean and has the biggest and most futuristic police station I've ever seen. It has a nice feel to it and is very modern. When we wake up we head straight for the Singapore Zoo. The zoo is incredible, we see alsorts of animals, which is helped by going to see them at feeding times. We see; White Tigers, Gibbons, Probiscos Monkeys, Otters, Snakes, Lions, Giraffs, Zebras, Rhinos, Elephants, Pigme Hippos, Crocodiles, Aligators, Chimps, Orangotangs (big ones!), Komodo Dragon, Tortois, Bears, Wolves, Aligators, Baboons, different types of monkeys and loads more. It's a great zoo and alot of the animals are on islands or have moats around them so you can see the animal really well. We also so mantes, penguins and they do a show with a sea lions - which is sweet! We have a really good day and have loads of amazing and freakishly big animals. In the evening we eat some duck and good ice tea, we wonder around one of the many malls then get a good nights sleep in the air con room.
We don't waste our second day in Singapore, we get some included pieces of toast and go to the esplande. We walk through one of the malls, through the park, to the theatre and see some of the skyscrapers there too, we also stop to get some coffee and cake. We arrive early at the airpport and get early checkin so we don't have to carry our bags everywhere. Singapore airport has loads of stuff here, I wonder round all three terminals to the orchid garden, butterfly garden, small cinemas, outdoor swimming pool, gym, free internet and loads of shops. We easily waste some time here before our flight. We're back to econmy class for this one and actually have a good flight. I sit next to a crazy french man, who is freakishly good at chess and in the military police but is nuts! I don't get any sleep and stay up chatting to the crazy but very friendly french man, who swears in the wrong places and who thinking about it should never be allowed a gun!
