Enjoyed a bit of a sleep in this morning and watched the simpsons movie in our room since it was raining for a bit. Grabbed some breakfast in the cafe downstairs before heading off to Old Market downtown. The market is a bunch of indoor stalls selling everything from pigs to jewelry. If you haven't ever seen a live pig strapped to the back of a moped sqealing as it arrives at the market, you haven't lived. Bought a few silk scarves and a tshirt then found a bookstore that sold lonely planet books for under $10. We soon realized that all the books they sell are photocopies. We bought the New zealand book and then headed off to a great Mexican restaurant for enchilladas and $2 margaritas. Ole! Then we hired a tuk tuk driver to take us to Angkor Phram within the Angkor Thom complex. There are little street children that run all over the temples selling postcards and coke asking "where do you come from?" I told this 3 year old girl we were from America and she replied "America, capital is Washington DC, population 300 million. Would you like to buy 10 postcards for $1?" Then she counted to 10 in 8 different languages. After sunset we headed back into the city to check out the night market which was much nicer and sold really good wines and linens. Had dinner at a 2 story restaurant on the main promenade called the Red Piano. The Angelina Jolie cocktail is very popular at all the pubs downtown since she filmed tomb raider in Siem Reap and invented a new cocktail while she was there.
