From Loas we booked our coach journey to Vietnam. A bit dubious at first if we would stay a few days. Especially after spending 27 hours on a coach cramed in like chickens. The driver decided to get off and have an hours sleep before the border closed, which we found so odd. We woke up in the freezing cold on the coach in Vietnam still in our shorts and t shirts and crossed the border which was MAD full of small people pushing a shoving to get there visas to cross. Slightly curupt bunch, they wanted money, the more people gave them the quicker we got our visas umm. Back on the bus we noticed we were heading the wrong direction AWAY from southern vietnam. Only about 20 hours in the wrong direction!. Yes its been a painful couple of days.

Arriving in hanoi, it was cold 7c. A really nice city with nice people. We checked into a nice hotel called little Hanoi hostel the staff couldnt do enough for us and booked our onward train for southern Vietnam. We went to the vietnam mussuem of ethology umm. After ten mins Matt finally said 'is it me or is this a load of tat and full of everyday baskets'. We spend the rest of the afternoon laughing as we walked around it. We walked around the lake which was nice and the highlight of the two days we have been here was the water puppet show at the theatre we got first seats for 1.20p. A nice show even though we didnt understand it. Today is freezing so we cant wait to get to southern vietnam.
