firstly - this picture is a lie and is not from Guate at all, but having trouble uploading pics again.

I am (partially) recovered from the most horrendous 48 hours of my life, im not sure what it was i ate/drank/touched/went near but it was pretty hardcore and tempted me to venture towards a hospital! Nurse Kate provided plenty of gatorade and advice to sleep and so i am nearly back to life. We didnt fancy a ten hour bus ride in one day so have come about a third of the way to Guatemala city, the most disgusting, dirty, shady, dangerous, intimidating and noisy place we have been so far. It is truly awful, we didnt want to come here but it is the only place you can catch buses to far-away destinations from, so we had no choice.

The chicken bus was much better today, i made it fully aware that i was far too big to share a seat with two other people so we were left alone, and we are much more savvy about our cards/bags etc now so it was a lot less confusing and uncomfortable today.

Tomorrow we should finally head up to Coban, where we should get to see some nature and wildlife finally, starting to get a bit weary of street hawkers and tuk-tuk exhaust fumes!
