hi again everyone! we have just returned from a 4day trip to the Amazon, which was utterly amazin! (as can been seen from the photos) the only downside was being eaten alive by mosquitoes.. :( we´ve got over 60 bites between us! but still had a brilliant time, trekking through the jungle, playing with the monkeys and chattin with the parrots! stayed in a gorgeous lodge on the Madre De Dios river, total luxury yet still considerably cheap - food, accomodati...

Hi all! As we type we are only hours back from the inca trail to Machu Picchu. totalling 42km it was anything but easy but hopefully as you can see from the the photos certainly worthwhile. the highest point was at 4200 metres. breathing was a problem though the locals had a little secret of coca leaves and chifta. a combinationation that makes you breath easier but also makes your mouth numb so conversation became decidedly more difficult as the hike got longer...

Greetings from Peru! been in Lima for three days now and leaving this afternoon to meet up with our tour group for the Inca trail...but not quite ready to move on just yet! :) stayin in the best hostel ever, like a home from home, eating and drinkin peruvian style - honestly, fruit that you´ve never even heard off before (Guana Bana is delicious!) went to an amzin fountain park last night, tryin to upload the photos from it now so fingers crossed...
