Good morning! Now we have been here in Marocco for a few days and we have made ourselves a little Nissan Vanette campsite because we and Florian have the exact same cars, only ours is grey and his is red.
We have been down to the village a couple of times. This week they are celebrating some kind of festival so there are so many people everywhere. The majority are men and boys, but there are a few women and old fantastically wrinkled old ladies in their colourful clothes and scarfs. Some of the older men wear their traditional clothes that look a bit like some kind of robes with a pointed hood on. The market is full of fruits and vegetables and spices and live chicken. There are children everywhere and the cars and taxis zigzag through the people walking in the middle of the streets. They use their horns as a way of greeting each other so they go beep beep here and beep beep there. In the distance you can hear the prayers sung in the speakers all over the village.
Yesterday we bought some vegetables and fresh chicken bits. We also got a traditional Maroccan pot called tagine which you put on a little fireplace and slow cook food in. We made a chicken and vegetable tagine last night and it took almost two hours to get done. But it was definitely worth the wait, we all ate from the same plate, Maroccan style, and it tasted absolutely delicious!
We will probably stay here one more night and then keep going a bit more south because it is quite cold here up in the mountains. Au revoir!
