We woke up to rain, but luckily we were prepared for that, so we slept in till 8:30 with the nice putter patter of rain. We got up, had some bagels and hummus, then walked out to town. We asked the people at the visitors center where the best trail was, so we went there after packing a lunch. We drove to the start of the trail, but dust see other cars there. We thought that was weird for 11am, but we decided to go anyways. We soon realized why no one was hiking. Mosquitos were EVERYWHERE. Annie Mains got the worst of it, and we decided to turn around knowing we would never be able to sit down with food and expect to live. So, we backtracked the .7 miles we walked, this time more quickly and more itchy. We drove back to town, and found a gazebo off the beach to sit and eat our lunch. We couldn't resist washing off our bites and mud in the water. Some explored, some laid on the beach for an afternoon nap. I guess I didn't describe the town well in my last entry. IT IS SO CUTE. We came here thinking we'd be roughing it, but we are living in luxury! There is a cute tourist trap canadian town minutes walking distance from our tents. They have a beach there, a little movie theater, shops, putt putt, and so much more. It's so precious. We went on a little hike along the lake- it was BEAUTIFUL. Then we headed back for dinner- quesadillas and hot dogs. Yum. Then we headed off to yoga and I decided to go for a swim right beforehand. The yoga lady was so cute and it was very relaxing. She suggested we go moose hunting, so we did. We drove for a while to Moon Lake where we did not see any moose, not even along the way, but we did find a beautiful lake and many mosquitos. We drove back and went to a lounge (where we were carded!) for a karaoke night where we sang our song "Closing Time" at 10pm. Lol. I was the first go up to the bar and get a beer. It was thrilling. I got a Moosehead and it wasn't that great, but whatever it seemed Canadian. Annie sang "Old Time Rock and Roll" and got the whole place chanting USA. It was awesome! We came back at midnight, and some people took showers and then we all went to bed. We're very excited for our beach day tomorrow!!
