Well here we go then...Blog no.1...this time tomorow night I will be in Singapore with a 2 hr stopover and then a 6 hour flight to Chennai. Paul and Julia are already there and all being well they will be able to greet me at the airport about 6am Sunday NZ time.

It's been a hectic week organising last minute bits, listening and taking on advice from you all and reading lots about South India. My pack is looking more like the local GP's medicine cabinet with bits for all eventualities including 1,520 sheets of double sided loo paper (all left handed of course).

Tomorrow Vicki and Ruben will be taking me to the airport and then it all starts in earnest. I am really looking forward to the whole experience although after reading today's blog from Julia I think I could probably leave my togs behind. It will also be fantastic to see Paul and Julia again after nearly two years and for them to include me in their adventures is really quite special for me.

I will endeavour to keep this blog up to date...In the meantime take lots of care all of you
