After a leaving sunny Cairns with 35 degrees temperatures we took a midnight plane to Melbourne, landing at 5.30am and the temperature being 4degrees!! We were freezing!! The hostel kindly allowed us into our room early so we managed to get a little sleep before starting the day, we also managed an extra free breaky!! Melbourne was a real funky city with a real mixture of old traditional buildings with new modern arty ones. We spent the day looking around the parks, museums, art gallerys, and their most famous street market which was huge, and Martin was finally able to buy his boomerang!!

We are now in Singapore, our flight here was one of the best so far. We were on one of Quantas new planes with lots of space, films, games, ice creams, chocolates etc. Temperature here was at least 30degrees again, much better than Melbourne, though very humid. Yesterday we walked for miles around the city which is very picturesque, with really unusual and impressive skyscrapers. We took a nice walk around the quay both at day and at night as their is currently a light and art festival, which was nice to see. We watched a light display at the worlds largest fountain and had a nice indian meal in Little India. Today we are going to look around the markets before our flight at 10pm tonight.

We would love to stay longer, but have already discussed plans for next year!!!! We are really looking forward to seeing everyone, hope everyone is well and we will see you all very shortly. x
