WOW, what a 24 hours! So much to tell...

Yesterday in Miami me and mike hit the beach one last time, waited til the heat had calmed down a little as we are nursing nice burns! We left the beach around 8PM and headed back to the hostel, then we witnessed the most amazing storm, absolutely chucked it down... never heard thunder like it and the lightening lit up the sky (it made the news!), we were starving, so had to make a run for it and only made it over the road to this really nice, very italian restaurant! It was a bit too romantic for our liking ;) but we were hungry! We were mistaken for italians at first, the sun and unshaven look is working a treat! The candle lit table was a little disconcerting but was funny as when we got their our mates from Denmark were having tea too! We got chatting to a girl from Thailand for a while, met so many amazing people already! Learning all different cultures and sharing all sorts of stories!

After dinner we headed back to the hostel and in a way glad to leave, not Miami, but my sand ridden bed and the crazy guy from Buffalo was starting to drive us mad. Miami was awesome and defo go back one day!

So, we somehow managed to get out of bed early and headed to the airport, after mike trying to get in the drivers side of the taxi, very very funny!!!! "So are you driving...?"

We get to the airport, but here's where the fun starts... Booked our flights with United for a change as they were a little cheaper, and the following happened at the desk...

"So where you guys flying too?"

"Erm, Chicago..."

"Sorry, but we don't fly to Chicago..."

Hmmmmm, S**T (my initial thought if i'm honest...)

Checked the departures... no flights leaving for any airline with our flight numbers... double S**T

So, for the hell of it, Mike suggested we try checking in with US Airways for a laugh, (you can see where this might be going, but we are actually in Chicago :) )

It was searching for our reservation, I wasn't holding out much hope, and then, bang, two tickets to Chicago! WOOOOO! Thank God!

And, extra leg room again, we keep getting exit seats... brilliant!

Flights were great, and I was a little confused at 4:55 when the pilot said we'll be landing at 5:00, erm... that can't be right... so update those clocks, we're now 6 hours behind UK, finally feel were making the move west!

We arrived in Chicago, and caught the CTA train to downtown, $2, amazing! All checked in and man, this place is a 5* hostel, its huge, carpets the works... only kidding, its much better than that, free breaky, table tennis, pool, its amazing!

Ah yeah, I forgot, caught all the cruise ships leaving Miami yesterday, got some great pictures, you'll notice I was starting to be a bit creative too... sorry about the moose picture, but thats all they had....

So yeh, its almost midnight here and i'm shattered, just been out with a cool guy from China, he's been travelling the opposite way to us, so getting so good tips! We really need to meet some more girls!!!

Maybe Memphis next up. Chicago looks amazing from what i've seen so far! I think i've covered everything, but having such a BRILLIANT TIME! 1/4 in to the states trip so far, its flying by! Hope all is well at home! How's global without me....?! ;)
