New Advetures to Come
Still in Dharamsala... I do not know if very many people stop by this sight...but i like to type for the few that may...and to also keep a good record for myself.
Life is good as of right now. A little ruff the first few weeks. Lots of trouble with the Indian men for being the 'new girl' on the block. Lots of hassleing each day. Damb... glad I am a liberated woman, so i do not take any of their s*** you know! I can throw a punch if I have to, and have had to a couple of time! Learned lots of leasons here... I remember my friends saying before i left, "Remember martha, not everyone is a good person." Well I still think that people are good, but not everyones intentions are good...that is the problem!
But overall life is good. Learning to walk along the bumpy roads you could say...and nothing like a good laugh to keep you going! Really...there are so many things in life that are not a problem, but we make so. 'No Problem' is my new saying... good one to carry and practice... Good quote to take home from India.
Spend my days just running around the town with variouse friends. Little chat and tea here...maybe catch a movie there. I am going to go to a 'squwaters,' camp tomarrow. It is where all of the beggers live. I meet a man that is doing Vertully one of the only projects to get the begggar childern off of the streets. Really ceragouse if you ask me! So we are going to go to the camp... I think that at least once in ones life, they should Really look at the reality of the human condition when it is being abused. So that we know 'Why' we do not support and stand for Oppresion. These people are born this way, are raised to live this way, and many a time, die this way...almost no possibilty for change, or help.
It is 10pm...I am a little tired... But I heard Tibetan Monks doing their traditional Puja chanting at one of the good monistaries here. Wow...it was Intense and Amazing. Listening to the sounds of the Deep chanting, with the drumbs, and the horns...I then Understood why Tibet has Such a Unique Melody to its Music. It is the Music of the Himilayans! If the Himlilayans could Sing, they would make the sound of the Tibetan Chants... So Amazing! One of the treasure of my trip for sure... Horns and deeps vioces spashing against the snow covered peaks covereing the sky line, with the colorful monistary lingering, so proud below... I have never felt to humbled and small...and also so apart of it all... Such an Amazing Culture. If the world looses Tibet, the World Looses a Gift...one that is Rare and Truly Precious...One that should not be taken for granted, or traded for a new set clothes or a new car...
I just can not feel that one should keep silent...A voice should be heard when things as in oppresion are happening...be it Indian beggars, or Tibetans being forced into Exile... Either way, as the Great Desmond Tutu once said..."To remain silenct in the act of oppresion only Aids the Oppresers." So Damit, I am not keeping quite... It is not good to Hassled for being a White Woman, it is not good that people are forced to live a life of poverty, and it is not good that an Entire Culture is being wipped out...simply for Land and Money... and the struggle contintues... so where is the Peace in all of this we are wondering. If we fight for this, and we fight for that? Are we just Adding to the Negativity? Peace begins within I believe... If we all accepted so many things of the world, and simply stopped Fighting, then their would be no War...within and outside... lada lada lada... okay enough trying to save the world for a night...I am off to some much needed rest and sleep.
sending some love your way...thanks for being you.
