Oook, finally feeling healthy enough to keep on travelling! For those who doesn't know, I (Ida) has been sick for a few days, with a pretty rough bed-to-bathroom marathon going on. Nothing stayed inside, what so ever, which made me pretty dehydrated after a couple of days. The 3rd day with bathroom marathon, we decided that I needed some professional help, and went to the hospital. They gave me some intravenous, which helped a lot! They took a few tests and figured out that it was a virus that caused the whole thing. I'm now on antibiotics and some other medicine that helps my tummy in the right direction.
Been in Sao Paulo for 5 days now, and haven't seen anything of the city. It's a shame, but that's how it had to be, as I was sick and unable to leave the house. We went out for some shopping yesterday, and found a pretty good shopping street, but we didn't buy anything.. :p Been out for dinner a couple of nights as well, seems like a really fun city. Lots of people outside, lots of nice bars and restaurants, and good shops. Grazzie says it's almost like NYC, with the life that goes on 24 hours a day. Grazzy has been my saviour this week, really. She took me to the hospital, she took me to the pharmacy, she called the insurance company, she called the bus company, she's arranging a taxi to pick us ip, and she's being such a sweetheart to us both. Can never thank her enough for all this.
Ok, that's it for now! Leaving for Iguazu Falls tonight, finally :) Looking forward to that, as we've heard a lot of nice things about the place. We've booked a hostel on the Brazilian side of the falls, for one night, then we'll cross the boarder to Argentina, and see the waterfall from that side, before we head down to Buenos Aires.
Take care guys, and we'll talk to you soon :)
Love,
Ida (and Marte, of course)
