Hey guys!
Just dropping by to give an update in English, as people have been annoyed by the fact that I wrote in Norwegian the last time :p
Ok, we're in Cordoba now, about 10 hours northwest of Buenos Aires. Went by bus, one of those nice ones - with dinner and breakfast included. This one had the most ugly colors I've seen on a bus so far, with bright yellow and bright red all over the place. They had even decorated with plastic flowers in the same colors to match it all. Nice. Or "linda" as they would say here (woho, look at me learning spanish!). :p Anyway. Nice city, about a million people living here, lots of them are students, which gives the city a lively nightlife. We're staying at a great hostel, called Baluch Backpackers Hostel. Great staff, great rooms and bathrooms, lots of nice people and great common rooms as well. We like it here :)
Went to the Che Guevara museum today, which is located about 50 minutes away from here. The museum is in the house he grew up in, and it showed pictures and notes and stuff from his childhood, and everything else he went through. It was pretty good. :)
Off to Salta tonight, wich is another 12 hours away from here. Will stay there for a couple of days, to check out the city, and hopefully we'll get to take the train ride called 'The train of the clouds'. It will take us up to about 4200 m.a.s.l (meters above sea level), and it runs through 19 tunnels, over 29 bridges, 13 viaducts, 9 sheds and two loops formed by the railway. Pretty awesome :)
Going from Salta and up to Bolivia, where we'll go and see the salt flats by Uyuni, before we'll head up to La Paz, then the Titicaca lake, where we'll cross the border to Peru. Let's hope we won't get sick of the hight, as La Paz located 3600 m.a.s.l...
Trying to get in some pictures, but it won't work on this computer, for some reason. We have some great pictures from Buenos Aires that we want you guys to see, and we'll try to put them out in Salta.
Take care everyone! And guys - please leave a note on the message board if you stop by, we both appreciate to hear from you all, as we're so far away from you.
later :)
