November 1st,
another somewhat crappy sleep. the constant hum of the air condition units on our balcony helped to drown out the little bit of traffic on the street meters from our 1st floor room(which actually is the second floor in Canada). I keep waking up, check the time, sun's not up, go back to sleep and do it a few more times before it is actually time to get up. No need for an alarm clock, both Megan and I have been getting up well before. everyone seems to be sleeping well, although Hem is in rough shape, he took malaria pills then was feeling ill, on top of that more than likely ate something that did not agree with him. I am hoping oil of oregano will by my saviour on the food front, so far so good.
Yesterday we preordered breakfast, stating name, room, breakfast item, beverage and breakfast time, kind of odd but okay. Today when we showed up, our breakfast made it's way from somewhere across the street to the hotel lobby which had a few tables set up. the plates were delivered to our table with our eggs covered in Saran wrap with a baguette and butter on the side....interesting. the coffee is always pre-sugared unless requested otherwise. better tasting than in cambodia.
