October 29th
today we say goodbye to Seim Reap and hello Phnom Pehn. we drove by fancy mini bus stopping at Spean Proap Tus or the telling bridge which is open to anything except motorised 4 wheel vehicles; it's an old bridge flanked by Nagas which helps one find the way to heaven. we also stopped at Skoun only to be harassed by the banana girls, one young girl was relentless following me around the entire time reminding me that I said I would buy from her, although I have no memory of it, and instead I purchased more bananas for $2 US from a slightly older girl but they looked much better. I also picked up some rumbutan for $1 US and a pomello for $1 US which eventually went in the trash as i could not peel it, even with a failed attempt using megan's nail file; the bananas however are so good. i wrapped the fruit in a canvas bag to keep the bugs out (earlier we threw out nuts as they were infested)
