Well this my last entry from 100% China (Hong Kong is obviously a special administrative region of China but is very different). I've been in Yangshuo for 3 days now it's been a great place to be. It is surrounded by spectacular karsk hills, river scenery and and green paddy fields. It's also very touristic as it's a popular destination for Chinese and western travellers. After a gruelling train journey which took about 18 hours, we arrived in Xi'an on Friday morning. I managed to get about 5 hours sleep on the train but it was not very good quality sleep. We arrived in Shanghai on Tuesday 9th October after a 15 hour overnight train journey. I wasn't looking forward to the journey but it turned out to be great fun, despite being in dormintory style compartments on the train (6 beds to each little cabin area) and about 100 beds in each carriage.
