early wake up call for me as I decided to do a sky dive with vertical descent in Glenorchy, 1 hour from queenstown in the beautiful setting of the Lord of the rings country... after the terrible weather of yesterday, I was worried it would be cancelled, but no, they wanted to make sure I got enough of adrenaline rush before leaving queenstown tomorrow. the weather is clear and good today making it great for skydiving!!!! We decided that it would be rude not to go snowboarding as we were in the capital of the south islands premier resort. So we booked up a 6 day inclusive package, hotel, ski passes, hire, transport and lessons all for around 300 pounds. Not really a bargain but I (Mark) had not been before at all on the snow so we went for it. Queenstown is in the middle of two resorts and we have the choice of the two with our package.
