So , we were quite sad to leave Albert Tognolini ( Toggers) rest area one of the best free camps yet. Off, after stopping briefly at Auski roadhouse, heading towards Pt Headland. We found it to be not to our liking, after shopping, fuelling up etc. and trying to get some beer......... Not likely, not served on Sundays. We decided to progress on towards a rest area, DeGreys river, which was really quite beautiful. There was water in the river, with a caution of Bull sharks. Sunset was rather special, an amazing light, photos to follow. We kept hitched up for an early get away for our push towards Broome. Next day we drove to Stanley rest area, not as spectacular, very hot and dusty, OK for the night.
Next morning it was a 7.30 getaway towards Broome, not a very interesting drive. We did want to see Eighty mile beach, the tide was soooooo far out, and it looked undesirable, nothing like Ningaloo.
We pulled into Broome by 10.30 and we found our pet friendly accommodation, set up and were in the water before lunch at Cable Beach.
We have just been taking stock and getting ready for the Gibb River Rd.
car serviced, lots of washing of everything (3 loads done today)
All good Jonahs 50 th on Friday and we are are going to the sun pictures (outdoor cinema) and a meal somewhere, Spencer has been looking into menus around town .
