So from one vista to another..... This is our campsite in Yanikie.we got in yesterday afternoon and set up with a bit of drizzle around. We got up and had some breakfast , took the dog for a walk( then locked him in the camper) so we could go and investigate what the walk to south point and how long that would be - nowhere has given us that info.
So we went into Tidal river information only to be told it was. 39 km walk........ Oh my gooseness. Think about it for a while, we took the shuttle bus to telegraph saddle. From here we walked up Mt Oberon (7 kms or near enough it actually felt like 10) amazing view from the top.
We have decided that Jonah is going to do the walk for the family in a day ,even though everyone says it's an over nighter. So it is back to camp for an early night for dad and a happy dog that he is not going to be left inside the camper again- he actually likes it inside.
Will keep you informed at to how the Jones boy coped with the trek.
