Hey y'all, we stayed at Lucy's Uncle and Auntie's place down in a quiet place called Tofield.  After hogging their washing machine and raiding their fridge, we got down to some serious business of cattle herding using quad bikes (we were inside a comfy 4x4 haha!) and watching that canadian sport that is called ice hockey.  Was disappointed to see their TV did actually have subtitles-I was becoming an expert at 'guess the storyline'.M...

*SNOW!* Canmore had loads of snow in the town-lucy didn't have any proper shoes so we used plastic bags to waterproof her feet.  *funky* its smaller than Banff but much cheaper.  Found a cheap downtown hotel for $45/room but it was right above a noisy bar. Note-avoid if hearing! Tried to go for hike but it was snowing too much so made a snow man and snow angel instead.  Probably the coldest place we're gonna be in our travels.  Fi...

Hey, Banff's a nice quiet place with great views of mountains all around.  Stayed in a posh B&B with a slightly odd landlady but was def more comfortable than Vancouver's Hostels.  Been hiking (the shortest hike in the guide book!) and checking out the local fudge shops, sunny and warm here, leaving tmrw to go to Canmore (21km away).  Wish you were all here haha! x

Went on a trip up Grouse mountain on a cable car to great views of the city and the surrounding mountains. There's a bear sanctuary and lumberjack show up the top (don't ask!) with a ski lift giving free rides on the mountainside. We arrived in Seattle yesterday after 24hours on a coach. (The hotel guy has just given us a free pizza!! anyway...) we're staying in a 'european' room, bit posher than a hostel but we still have to run down the hall to the loo. Spent the morning dodging flying fish thrown between the manager and the floor workers. Lunch however, was a chinese duck which the guy chopped in half before our very eyes, thrown in with some rice.
